Hello, I’m Shujat Ali Aagha, a dedicated academic and teacher of philosophy based in Lahore, Pakistan. With a passion for exploring the depths of philosophical inquiry, I hold an MPhil in Philosophy (thesis title: Philosophy of Pessimism: A Reconsideration of Schopenhauer’s Philosophy) from the esteemed University of the Punjab. My research delves into the realms of existentialism, continental philosophy, and the intricate workings of the human mind.

Having earned gold medals for both my MPhil and BS (Hons.) in Philosophy, I’ve delved deeply into topics such as alienation in modernity and the nuances of Schopenhauer’s philosophy. My academic journey has been marked by a commitment to excellence, reflected in my consistent academic achievements.

Alongside my academic pursuits, I have been working as a visiting lecturer at various institutions, including the Department of Philosophy, PU, Lahore, Department of Journalism Studies, PU, Lahore, Government Postgraduate College, Model Town, Punjab College, Kasur, Superior College of Law, Lahore. I’ve had the privilege of teaching courses ranging from Introduction to Philosophy to Philosophy of Mind. I have been teaching Logic and Critical Thinking, fostering critical inquiry and intellectual curiosity among students.

As a researcher, I’ve explored diverse themes such as the concept of hyper-reality and the dilemma of enlightenment, with publications featured in reputable journals and platforms. Additionally, I’ve presented my findings at conferences, engaging in scholarly discourse and contributing to the broader philosophical conversation.

In addition to my academic endeavors, I’ve served as President of the Literary Society at the University of the Punjab, further enriching my involvement in the academic community. Committed to fostering knowledge-sharing, I also offer online sessions on CSS/PMS Optional-Philosophy, extending the reach of philosophical discourse beyond traditional classrooms.

With a multilingual background encompassing Urdu, English, Saraiki, Persian, and basic proficiency in German and Greek, I embrace the diversity of thought and language in philosophical inquiry.
